These are the slides from Colchester City Council’s Residents’ Panel Workshop held on Monday 9th June 2025. Members of the Residents' Panel were invited to meet with our CEO Pam Donnelly and the leader of the Council Cllr David King. The conversation was centred on Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) and Devolution proposals. These plans aim to significantly reshape how services are delivered in Colchester and across Essex. The proposals involve moving away from the current two-tier council system towards a more streamlined and locally accountable model. This shift is expected to bring about major changes in governance structures. The session highlighted the potential impact on local service delivery and decision-making.
