Each year, we collect and analyse development statistics from across Colchester City. This helps us:
- understand changes in development patterns
- refine planning policies based on local trends
- provide clear information for stakeholders about development activity
Although the legal requirement for local authorities to publish an Annual Monitoring Report ended in April 2012, we continue to produce a yearly report. It is a useful way to monitor our planning performance.
In line with national policy, the Annual Monitoring Report is now called the Authority Monitoring Report.
The most recent report covers 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022.
