Recycling and waste collections across Colchester are being updated from 1 June 2026, with new wheeled bins in early rollout areas first and new collection calendars for every household

Flats included in this rollout will start to receive a food recycling caddy, along with a complimentary set of liners and a leaflet explaining the new service.

The service offers convenient fortnightly pick-ups, with up to 25 collections per year

Residents should put their bins and recycling containers out on their usual collection day.
