The event starts at 7pm, once the Castle has closed its doors for the evening. Friendly rangers will lead hands‑on dinosaur activities, bringing prehistoric stories to life, while over at Hollytrees Museums guests will come face‑to‑face with the very real and mighty Juliasaurus – a 150‑million‑year‑old dinosaur making its world premiere in Colchester.
There’s something truly magical about experiencing a museum after hours. After an evening of prehistoric discovery and pitching camp inside the Castle, families can slow the pace with a cosy hot chocolate before settling down for the night, surrounded by centuries of history.
