Locality budgets

Our aim is to support the growth of inclusive, bottom up, community-driven and citizen-led change that lessens the impacts of pre-existing inequalities.

Whatever you spend your locality budget on must not have any ongoing revenue implications for the council’s budget.

Locality budgets can be pooled with other ward councillors to go further or for bigger projects or used to match fund projects for existing/new activities.

From April 2023 submitting requests for your locality budget should be made using our purpose-built locality budget application.

We recommend you start using your budget early and do not leave applications until the last minute.
