Minimum requirements must be met. The number of dogs allowed depends on the space available for both activity and rest, considering all aspects of the Five Welfare Needs:
- a suitable environment
- a suitable diet
- the ability to exhibit normal behaviour patterns
- suitable housing for the animal’s needs
- protection from pain, suffering, injury, and disease
