Building Control System Migration
Due to the migration to a new Building Control system, CON29 requests requiring Building Control information and requests for Building Control information under the Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) may take longer than usual to process between 19 October 2026 and 3 November 2026.
Services will remain available during this period.
Following the migration, processing times are expected to remain longer than usual while we work through a backlog of requests.

Apply for local authority search
To apply for an official local authority search you will need to complete the online form and upload a plan of the site.
What happens after you have applied
- Applications will be verified within two working days.
- Applications are accepted once payment is received.
- Search results will be completed and emailed to you usually within 8 working days of acceptance (as a PDF for convenience).
