Notice is hereby given under Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that casual vacancy exists in the office of Councillor for the Copford ward, Copford with Easthorpe Parish Council, as Stephen Braund has resigned.
An election to fill the vacancy will be held if request in writing for such an election is made by ten electors registered within the electoral area and received by the Proper Office of Colchester City Council, by no later than Monday 20 April 2026. Otherwise, Copford with Easthorpe Parish Council will fill the vacancy by co-option.
