The Council is consulting on its new draft Pavement Licence Policy, and we would welcome your views. The key changes are the reduction in the requirement for public liability from £10 million to £5 million and minor amendments to the conditions.
The Licensing Committee has considered the matter of outdoor heaters and is seeking views on whether portable heaters should be permitted.
If permitted under the policy they would be subject to the following condition -

Portable heaters, if used, must meet safety standards, be located entirely within the licensed area, and not form part of any enclosure.
