Agenda: Members of the Housing Strategy Team will provide an overview of the Gateway to Homechoice Allocations Policy which Colchester is part of, explaining how social housing is allocated locally and how the system works in practice. Please note this session will not cover individual cases or specific applications but will focus on the overall approach and direction of our work. We will also introduce our newly revised Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy (2026-31), outlining how it was developed and the positive impacts we aim to achieve over the next five years.
