Annual Christmas Market
The Annual Christmas Market hosted by Colchester Market and the Colchester BID returns with up to 80 stalls on a pedestrianised Colchester High St on Sunday 6th December 2026. The Free-Entry family-friendly event runs from 10:00 to 17:00 featuring live music, entertainment, funfair rides, Festive Giftware, Streetfood and of course, some mulled wine for the grown-ups.
St Nicholas Square will host some very talented young entrepreneurs throughout the day bringing their products to market and a beautiful carousel.

When and where
Colchester Market is a trail of street traders operating up to 7 days a week through the city centre on Culver St East and West, and on the High Street on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Trading times
The market is open from 9am to 4pm, with some seasonal variations.
Where to park
There are several car parks in Colchester town centre. There is also provision for disabled parking on the High Street and Head Street.
