A step closer to one connected website

We’re making steady progress on our journey to bring everything together into one, simpler website for our residents.

Five people standing against a gray textured wall, each holding large colorful speech bubble cutouts in various shapes. The speech bubbles are in shades of blue, yellow, green, and beige, suggesting themes of communication, conversation, or collaboration. The individuals are dressed in business-casual attire, and the overall setting conveys a modern, professional environment.

Since launching the new platform, teams across the council have been working closely to review, improve and move content from our current website over to the new one. It’s a big task, but an important one, and every step takes us closer to a more joined-up and easy-to-use experience for you.

Building something clearer and easier to use

One of the key areas of progress is the development of sections like Our Council. This brings together important information about how we work, our priorities, and the services we provide, all in one place.

By rethinking how content is organised, we’re making it easier to:

  • understand what the council does
  • find the right information quickly
  • access the support you need

Why this matters

Right now, information is still spread across both the current and new websites. We know this isn’t ideal, and it can sometimes make things harder to find.

Our goal is simple: one website that works better for everyone.

As more content moves across, you’ll start to see:

  • fewer places to search for information
  • a consistent look and feel across services
  • clearer, easier-to-understand content
  • a more reliable and effective search experience

Improving, not just moving

This isn’t just about copying content from one place to another.

Every page is reviewed and updated before it moves across, making sure it’s accurate, up to date, and written with residents in mind. It’s an opportunity to improve what we have, not just relocate it.

We’re also listening carefully to feedback along the way, using it to shape ongoing improvements and make sure the site continues to meet people’s needs.

Thank you

There’s still more to do, but the progress so far reflects a real team effort across the council.

We’d also like to say thank you for your patience and support while we make these changes. It’s a significant piece of work, and your understanding is helping us deliver a better, more connected online experience for everyone.
