One of the biggest things you asked for was better search. So, we’ve introduced a new search tool on the updated website.
Because we’re currently running two websites (https://colchester.gov.uk/ and https://www.new.colchester.gov.uk/) in parallel as part of our move to a single, improved platform, we’ve made sure the search tool brings back helpful results from both.
In simple terms, type what you need, and we’ll look everywhere for you - old and new - so you get the right answer quickly.
These changes are just the start, and we’ll continue improving how search works as we complete our move to one unified website.
