Fans of folklore, ghost stories and the unexplained are invited to spend Friday 13 November at Three Ravens Live, a special after-hours event at Colchester Castle featuring the creators of the acclaimed Three Ravens Podcast.

Taking place from 7pm, with doors opening at 6.30pm, the one-night-only event will see podcasters Eleanor Conlon and Martin Vaux bring their unique blend of storytelling, folklore and live performance to the largest Norman Keep in Europe.

Exploring the Folklore of Friday 13th
Drawing inspiration from one of the most superstitious dates in the calendar, the live show will delve into the darker traditions, myths and legends associated with Friday 13th. Guests can expect spine-tingling ghost stories, fascinating folklore, live music and an evening of immersive storytelling.

The event will also feature a reading from Three Ravens Ghost Tales, the duo's new book, followed by a live audience Q&A session and book signing.

A Unique Night Inside Colchester Castle
Set within the atmospheric surroundings of Colchester Castle, the evening offers a rare opportunity to experience live storytelling after hours in one of the region's most iconic heritage buildings.

The event will be recorded for a future episode of the Three Ravens Podcast, giving attendees the chance to be part of the show's ongoing story. Guests will also be able to purchase copies of Three Ravens Ghost Tales and a selection of Three Ravens merchandise on the night. Drinks will be available from the bar, with time to socialise with fellow folklore enthusiasts during the interval and after the show.

Councillor Darius Laws, Portfolio Holder for Culture, Heritage and Environment, said: "Colchester Castle has witnessed nearly 1,000 years of stories, so it's the perfect setting for an evening celebrating folklore, mystery and the supernatural. We're delighted to welcome Eleanor and Martin to the Castle for this special Friday 13th event and look forward to hosting another memorable after-hours experience."

Eleanor Conlon and Martin Vaux, creators of the Three Ravens Podcast, said: "Colchester Castle is one of our favourite museums and we're thrilled to be haunting it on Friday 13th, surrounded by history and wonder."
